Below the talking points in a Leapsome meeting, members of the meeting can add action items either for themselves or for other participants of the meeting.
To add an action item during a meeting, scroll below the talking points to reach the 'Action Items' section:
After writing the action item, you can then reassign it by clicking the user's icon.
The action item will then show up in the Home tab under 'Your checklist' > 'Tasks' for the person for whom the action item was assigned. The person assigned can then check off the action item (designate it as done), either there or back in the meeting itself. Other members of the meeting can check off the action item as done, even if they are not assigned to that task.
In addition to reassigning action items, meeting participants also have the ability to comment, delete, adjust visibility settings, attach a due date, remove a due date, and edit the action item when they hover their mouse over the action item. Please note deleting, adjusting visibility settings, creating a due date, and editing action items will only be accessible to the assignee of each particular action item.
To view the self-guided tour below in full screen, click the fullscreen button at the top right corner. Then, click on the self-guided tour itself for step-by-step instructions.
Action Items Dashboard
Action items from all meetings can be located in the action items dashboard. To locate the dashboard, navigate to 'Meetings' > 'Action items'. Here you will find a list of all your action items from all meetings where action items were entered.
The dashboard will have automatic filters applied to show you open action items where you are assigned.
You will also see:
- The title of the action item
- The name of the meeting where the action item was created in
- The time the action item was created
- Any deadline set for the action item.
Once an action item is complete, you can select the check box next to the action item to mark the status as done. This would then cross the action item off the list. The action items that were completed would then be visible through using the filter for 'Status' > 'Done,' to locate all completed action items.
