Who can see my talking points?
Talking points in (1:1 or team) meetings can either be private or shared (you can define this by clicking the 'eye' icon next to each talking point).
- Private talking points are only visible for you. You can use these to remember sensitive things that you want to talk about during your meeting, before sharing them with your counterpart.
- Shared talking points are shared between you and your meeting counterpart. These help to structure the meeting upfront - your counterpart will see them before and can prepare accordingly.
Nobody else will have access to your meeting talking points or summaries (no managers, and not even admins in your company).
New meeting participants will not be able to see past talking points from previous instances.
Tagging participants in talking points
You can tag meeting participants in relevant talking points, comments on talking points, as well as in the shared notes section of the meeting. This will send a notification to the participant(s) and will be visible in the 'Notifications' section (under the bell icon), which will direct them to the relevant point in the meeting.
Additionally, you can use a rich-text editor when double-clicking on notes taken in meetings, allowing you to customize the text, and embed any URLs.
Embedding a URL is helpful when adding links to talking points as it shortens the visible link, and provides the ability to still edit or delete the talking point if necessary.
Checking off talking points
Some talking points still require discussion and can be carried over to the next meeting. Simply, leave the box unchecked to carry a talking point over to the next meeting.
Please note: if you choose to postpone a meeting to a date that falls outside of the next meeting instance, the talking points of the postponed meeting will not carry over to the following week. If you skip a meeting, without changing the date, the taking points will remain open for the next instance of that meeting.
Alternatively, checking the box will mean the talking point stays in the current meeting as long as it is checked before the next meeting instance is activated in Leapsome, within 8 hours of the start time of the finished meeting. Past meetings and talking points are visible to all participants of the meeting and can be accessed by clicking on a drop-down with dates of all meeting instances above the meeting agenda.
Shared and Private notes
Each participant in the meeting will have a section where they can include shared or private notes. Anything written in the shared notes section will be visible to all other participants in the meeting and can be carried over to the next meeting. Things that may be included in the shared notes section may be links to important pages or a summary of the meeting agenda itself.
However, any notes taken in the private notes section will be private, and only visible to yourself. No other participant in the meeting will have access to anything written in the private notes section, except yourself. Private notes can be beneficial to use if there were many tasks that you were assigned and would like to keep track of that was discussed in the meeting but not written in a talking point, or if you would like to write yourself reminders are tasks you need to check on or complete. Like shared notes, these private notes can be carried on to the next meeting, but remain private.
Meeting feedback
Using the 'How was your meeting?' tab, participants can give feedback and anonymously score the helpfulness of the meeting. The feedback is visible to all participants of the meeting and possibly to managers and admins in meeting analytics. A meeting rating remains anonymous and comments and written feedback are non-anonymous.
