To gain valuable feedback from your surveys, you'll want to ensure a high participation rate, as this is a crucial indicator of the quality of your survey results. High participation leads to more data, which means you have varied perspectives and better understand your employees' needs.
Participation rate over time
You can see the participation rate over time and for each round in your survey insights under the 'Participation' tab via 'Surveys' > click on the relevant survey > 'Participation'). These participation rates are not aggregated, meaning you can see exactly how many employees were surveyed and how many employees answered in each round.
The participation rate is calculated in real-time and can be filtered by team, direct reports of, (in)direct reports of, location, gender, direct report of, levels, age groups, survey round and custom attributes.
Under the 'Participation' tab, in the section 'Breakdown by group for select round', you can see participation rates for groups organized by Teams, Office Locations, Managers, Gender, Age, Level, Tenure, Survey Round and other custom attributes. This allows admins and super-admins to identify teams with lower participation rates and nudge the right segments within the organization to increase the participation rate.
Low participation rates may result from many factors, including disengagement in the workplace. Thus, this feature is extremely beneficial for super-admins and admins.
Please note: After a survey round has been closed, if users are deactivated when filtering by teams, the deactivated users do not show in the participation rate (as deactivating a user removes them from the team assignments).
Please keep in mind that only admins can see the participation rate by default. The participation view can be enabled for managers in the survey's 'Visibility' settings.
Exporting survey participation rate
To easily analyze your survey participation rate, you can export the data into Excel in just a few seconds. To do so, please just go into the 'Participation' tab and click on 'Actions' in the top right corner. Here, you can download the participation rate data into Excel.
