After you've created a learning path, you will next define who should go through the path in the 'Targeting' section. In this section, you can choose the option to link the learning path to competencies or company values defined in your career development framework.
Linking a learning path to skills allows employees to proactively join learning paths relevant to them based on their individual development framework (the skills they are working on) and any individual goals connected to those same skills.
This can be of high value if the created learning path leads to progress in these specific competencies, skills, or company values, as it can then prompt people to improve those areas.
Where will they see these paths?
Employees that are working on skills will see the connected learning paths in a few places.
The first place is in their library, under the 'Learning' tab > 'Your Library.'
The second place is on their 'Home' tab, at the bottom of the page in the 'Learning paths' section.
The third place is in the context section of a goal they are working on that is linked to the same competencies. In the screenshot, the goal shown is linked to the same competencies targetted in the learning path displayed (learn more about development goals here).
