After you've created a learning path, you will next define who should go through the path in the 'Targeting' section. In this section, you can choose the option to link the learning path to competencies or company values defined in your organization's development framework.
Linking a learning path to skills allows employees to proactively join learning paths relevant to them based on their individual development framework (the skills they are working on) and any individual goals connected to those same skills.
This can be of high value if the created learning path leads to progress in these specific competencies, skills, or company values, as it can then prompt people to improve those areas.
Where will they see these paths?
Employees that are working on skills will see the connected learning paths in a few places:
- The first place is in their personal content library, found in the 'Learning' module > 'Your content library' > 'Learning Paths'
- The second place is on their home dashboard, at the top of the page under the 'Learning' tab.
- The third place is in the context section of a personal development goal they are working on that is linked to the same skill as the learning path. Learn more about development goals here.
