Different question types might require different scales or answer formats. Thus, Leapsome makes it possible to use various scales and formats within the same assessment.
Changing the scale
By default, the default assessment scale is applied to all rated questions within a template or cycle. To change this for an entire template or individual questions, do the following:
1. You can change the question scale for the entire template or cycle by clicking on 'Advanced default scale and weight settings' in the 'Questions' section.
2. You can set up a different scale for custom questions. Add a new question (from the bottom) or click on an existing question in the 'Questions' section of the template or cycle. Set the score to either 'Score required' or 'Score optional' and choose 'Enable custom scale.'
Please note: If you use more than one scale in a template or cycle or across cycles or templates, all analytics are displayed on a normalized 0 - 100. Thus, we do not recommend changing the scale.
To understand how scales are normalized in Leapsome analytics, please find more details here.
Multiple-choice questions
You can also set up multiple-choice questions. In the 'Questions' section of the template or cycle, click on the question (or create a new one) and click on 'Multiple-choice question' to add the options. To allow multiple answers from the same user, define the number of minimum responses that are allowed below. By default, a number '1' is chosen. You can also set the maximum number of answers allowed per user. This allows you to define more than one but less than a selected number of responses.
