Goal tags are beneficial for filtering goal lists to see a more specific selection of information. For example, you may want to look at all 'Performance' or 'Development' goals for a particular cycle.
There are two default goal tags in Leapsome:
Development goals are objectives you set to improve your skills and competencies. These are often personal goals assigned to just one person to improve their skills.
Performance goals are objectives set for specific tasks in your current job position. These are usually related to the overall company goals or specific team goals.
As an admin, you can create or modify goal tags under 'Admin settings' > 'Goals & OKRs' > 'Goal tags.' You can mark the tag as 'Active' or 'View only.' An active tag can be assigned to a new goal at any time. If a tag is set to 'View only,' the tag can no longer be assigned to a new goal. You can still filter and search for 'View only'-tags.
Once created, you can assign one or multiple tags to each goal when creating or editing a goal.
Below are some goal tags we recommend.
Using Goal tags in Reviews
Once you have set up your goal tags, and you have goals using the tags, you can limit the goals that will be included in a review with a goal tag. For example, if you have active goals from outside of the first quarter, you can tag the goals of the quarter with a time-specific tag, and add this to your review questions settings. Then, only goals with this specific tag will be added to your review cycle. You will find this by navigating to 'Reviews' > 'Cycles' or 'Templates' > opening the correct cycle/template > 'Questions' > 'Active individual goals of each reviewee will be included'.
