To learn how to change the (additional) manager within an active review cycle, read here.
Employees in your company may have more than one manager (e.g., a direct / 'line' manager and an additional / 'dotted-line' manager). Both managers are responsible for the employee's performance and development – and both usually give feedback in an assessment.
If you don't wish to assign a consistent additional manager to an employee (i.e., have them included as a reviewer in every assessment), you can also add an additional manager directly to your current review cycle.
To do so, navigate to the dashboard of the review cycle after you have set it up and launched it (it can still be pending kickoff, and you can add additional managers anytime before the completion of the cycle). To get to the dashboard, please go to the 'Reviews' tab > 'Cycles' > click on the name of the relevant review.
Search for the name of the direct report for whom you wish to add the additional manager as a reviewer. Click the pencil icon button next to their name when you hover over the employee.
In the pop-up window, add the additional manager by searching their name. Please then remember to save your changes.
Please note: additional managers do not have the same rights as primary managers. To learn more about access and visibility rights of additional managers in a review, read this article.
