Enabling the Module
Platform’s Super-(Admins) can grant access to the Absence management module as well as define Admins for the Absence management module specifically.
If you’d like to either grant full, partial, or no access to the module, navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Module Settings> ‘Absence management.’ Under ‘Grant access to Time Tracking module’, select either of the options:
- Enabled for all employees
- Enabled for selected employees
- Disabled for all employees
Additionally, you can grant certain users to become the Absence management module’s admins only. This means that they will have granular visibility of the module, similar to what platform Super-(Admins) see. However, this granular view will be limited to the Absence management module only. To assign selected users to be the module’s admins, type in their names under ‘Grant user(s) as Absence management admin’.
Visibility for Employees
Employees, who don’t hold any admin access and aren’t managers, will by default see only their own calendar in the calendar view of the absence module. By default, everyone can see the following information for their own profiles:
- Balance
- Activity
- Policies assigned
Employees can also filter for other users, teams, locations, or direct reports of to see if an employee has requested an absence, but they are not able to see specifics regarding the balances, activity or policies of those employees.
Visibility for Managers
Managers can see their own calendars as well as the calendars of their direct reports in their default calendar view.
They can view the following information for themselves and their direct reports:
- Balance
- Activity
- Policies assigned
Like normal employees, they can also filter for other users, teams, locations, or direct reports of, but they are not able to see specifics regarding the balances, activity, or policies of those employees.
Visibility for HRBPs
HRBP's will see their own calendars as well as the calendars of the people they manage in their default calendar view.
They can view the following information for themselves and the employees they manage:
- Balance
- Activity
- Policies assigned
Visibility for Admins
Admins and Absence module admins can see all the employees within their calendar's default view. They can filter for all users, teams, locations, or direct reports of, as well as see the following:
- Balance
- Activity
- Policies assigned
