Enabling the module
Platform’s Super-(Admins) can grant access to the Time Tracking module as well as define Admins for the Time Tracking module specifically.
If you’d like to either grant full, partial or no access to the module, navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Module & feature settings’ > ‘Time Tracking’. Under ‘Grant access to Time Tracking module’, select either of the options:
- Enabled for all employees
- Enabled for selected employees
- Disabled for all employees
Additionally, you can grant certain users to become Time Tracking module’s admins only. This means that they will have granular visibility of the module, similarly to what platform Super-(Admins) see, however, this granular view will be limited to the Time Tracking module only.
To assign selected users to be the module’s admins, add them to the system default role 'Time Tracking Module Admin' via their profiles. For that, navigate to the employee's profile, open the tab 'Role'. In the dropdown 'Additional roles' - select the 'Time Tracking Module Admin' and save it.
Visibility for Employees
Employees, who don’t hold any admin access and aren’t managers, will by default see only their timesheets (past and current). Within the timesheets, they’ll be able to:
- Filter for their past timesheets
- View the current timesheet
- Record their work & break times
Visibility for (In)direct Managers and HRBPs
Similarly to Employees, (In)direct managers and HRBPs can view their own past and current timesheets as well as record their own work times. In addition to that, they can:
- See the approval-requiring sheets if they are defined as approvers. If they are approvers, they can approve or reject the submitted timesheets in the module itself or in the ‘Approvals’ tab
Visibility for approvers
If employees are also the selected approvers of timesheets, they see everything the above roles see, plus:
- The employee's timesheet for whom they have approver access
- Can approve or reject timesheets in the module itself or in the ‘Approvals’ tab
Visibility for Time Tracking module Admins
They see everything the above roles see, plus:
- Can create and modify policies
- Can modify timesheet entries
- Can submit timesheets on behalf of the employees
Visibility for platform Super-admins and Admins
They see everything the above roles see, plus:
- They can modify Time Tracking settings via Admin Settings
