You may need to define more granular access rights and enable certain modules of our platform for a sub-group of your employees, such as a particular user or team. Super admins are able to grant access to the payroll module as well as provide granular admin rights to only the payroll module.
Enable the module
Super admins can enable either full, partial, or no access for employees by navigating to Settings > Module Settings > Payroll > Access.
- Enabled for everyone
- Enabled for specific employees
- Disabled for everyone
If you would like to give a user granular admin access to only the payroll module, select the user under "Grant user(s) as Payroll admin." The selected payroll admins would have the same visibility to the payroll module as the super admin, and they can create, edit, and delete payroll policies and manage all payroll cycles.
Visibility for employees and managers
As payroll deals with secure information such as salary and compensation, employees and managers do not have visibility into the payroll policies and information associated with payroll cycles.
Exceptions are if they are included as an approver for the payroll cycle for team(s) or employees.
Approvers
Approvers have access to view payroll cycles for the employees included in the approval flow. Approvers can therefore view the payroll information for either all employees, or the relevant users/teams assigned in their approval flow. They are not able to edit any information within the payroll cycle, policies, or policy assignments.
Visibility for Payroll module admins
Payroll admins can:
- Create payroll policies
- Edit payroll policies
- Export payroll cycles
Visibility for Superadmins and admins
Super admins and admins can:
- Create payroll policies
- Edit payroll policies
- Export payroll cycles
- Assign payroll policies
- Enable access to the payroll module and assign payroll admins.
