Why did we develop Leapy?
We are excited to announce the Beta version of our very own AI Copilot 'Leapy'. Going forward, Leapy will help your organization navigate uncertainty and drive business success by equipping your managers with AI superpowers so your people can thrive. Manager roles have become more complex amid the macroeconomic and geopolitical climate.

- Despite this, over two-thirds of employees say receiving more support than before the pandemic is more critical than ever.

If you have not done so already, you can sign up for our waitlist for early access to our AI Copilot. Once you’re accepted to enter Leapy’s beta, you (or any Super-admin of your account) needs to accept Leapsome’s AI Terms of Service and enable Leapy in our AI Settings.
How does Leapy support you and your managers?
Our AI copilot Leapy will open if you click on "Ask AI" in the bottom right of the platform.
When you get started, you may wonder: How can this support me and my managers?
Leapy, our smart assistant makes decision-making easier with insights, summaries, best practices, and recommendations, empowers your managers to focus on what matters, helps them save time, and makes sense of their team's data.
Once enabled, Leapy is a chat-based interface within Leapsome available to all your company's Managers, Admins, and Super-admins. As a manager copilot, Leapy can support you with many challenges or questions you may face as a manager. For example, you may use Leapy to...
- brainstorm your next workshop
- act as a sparring partner for tricky team situations
- draft a development plan for your next career move
- or whatever else is on your mind 🧠
In addition to this general manager support, Leapy can support a variety of requests to retrieve, aggregate, and analyze data in Leapsome. What specific data is available depends on the Leapsome modules used in your company. Also, Leapy will always respect the individual user’s access rights in Leapsome and only provide answers with data the user already has access to via the standard interfaces in Leapsome.
In various parts of the platform, Leapy offers ‘Smart Actions’. These are pre-built prompts offering managers specific insights based on the Leapsome view they are in.
Currently, the smart actions available in the following parts of the platform are:
- Meetings with two participants -> 'Recommend 1:1 intro / ice-breaker questions'
- Meetings -> 'Summarise the core points of the past three meeting instances'
- Review Analytics Heatmap -> 'Summarize heatmap data'
- Survey Analytics Heatmap -> 'Summarize heatmap data'
- Survey Analytics List -> 'Summarize list data'
- Survey Analytics -> 'Suggest action items'
- Goal Details Page -> 'Summarize recent progress of this goal'
- Goal Details Page -> 'Suggest potential improvements to this goal' (individual development goals are excluded)
- Goals -> 'Give summary on goal progress and recent updates'
Further, when you open Leapy in various parts of the platform, you will also find some recommended sample prompts. You can click on one, and the prompt will populate the text area. You can either submit the prompt as is or modify it to match your preference/situation.
In addition, Leapy has context awareness for several parts of your Leapsome data. This means, managers can have free chat conversations asking anything they need regarding the following Leapsome contents, independent of where they are in the platform:
- Meetings
- Org Structure
- Goals
- Open Review Tasks
- Basic questions about the product

To get started, here are some suggestions on what to ask Leapy:
- Team Support: 'Which of my team's goals are delayed, and how can I support them when investing 30 minutes?'
- Engagement Improvement: 'My team scored low in the area of 'XY' in the latest engagement survey. Please name three concrete actions I can take to improve here.'
- Meeting Preparation: 'Please summarize the talking points for my next upcoming meeting and let me know if any actions are required from my side.'

Leapy is still learning (beta)
Our AI Copilot knows many things already, but it still has a lot to learn and can make mistakes as it is in its early stages. In addition to feedback about the current functionality, we would love to hear what you'd like to see as additional capabilities going forward. Your beta feedback will further shape our short- and long-term roadmap for Leapy.
Some of the current limitations are:
- Limited context awareness: Not all Leapsome data is accessible via Leapy
- As with many AI chatbots, Leapy can misunderstand your questions or hallucinate with questions, especially when limited context is available for the question
- Depending on account size and subsequent datasets, some functionalities may be unstable at times
- While Leapy has some memory of past conversations, it may not remember all the context you shared in previous messages.

Privacy and Security
Leapy adheres to the highest standards of privacy and security. All data is encrypted at-rest and in-transit, and access is strictly controlled based on individual user roles. For more information on Data Privacy and Security of our AI functionalities, please refer to the Leapsome AI Terms.
FAQs
1. Can everyone in my organization use Leapy? Can I restrict access to Leapy?
Once enabled in your 'Company Settings', Leapy is available to all Managers, Admins & Super-admins. Employees without direct reports do not have access to Leapy. As of now, it is not possible to enable access for only a limited user group.
2. Can I restrict which specific modules or data points Leapy is allowed to access?
No, it is currently not possible to limit Leapy to only selected modules or data sources within Leapsome. Which data can be accessed by Leapy will always depend on the user’s role and access rights in Leapsome.
3. I am a manager and want to try Leapy, how can I do so?
Leapy is currently available as a beta on account level. If you don’t see Leapy in your account yet, please reach out to your internal Super-admin.
4. Can I get a preview or Demo of Leapy without enabling it in my account?
If you are interested in joining our AI Copilot Beta, but have questions before enabling the functionality in your account, please reach out to your CSM.
5. Are there any topics Leapy is not suited to advise on?
Generally, Leapy can surface insights of Leapsome data and provide best practice advice for typical challenges managers face. However, Leapy only has limited knowledge on Leapsome as a product. If you need product support, please reach out to our support team via Fin (blue widget) instead. If you need advice on more sensitive issues such as, e.g., crafting new salary bands or hiring decisions, we recommend reaching out to an HR expert instead. In line with this, Leapy is not designed to take over decision making from managers, but rather to provide sparring and insights to enable the manager's own decision making.
6. As Super-admin, where can I enable Leapy for my account?
Currently, access to Leapy (beta) is invite-only based on customers who signed up for our waitlist. After you have been accepted to Leapy’s beta group, you need to complete these steps:
